MESSAGE TOPIC: CHARACTER AND THE BLESSING
ANCHOR PASSAGE: PSALM 24:4-5

SERVICE OBJECTIVE:
• Understanding the relationship between uprightness of character and the Blessing of God
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. There is a direct relationship between righteousness and blessedness
2. If your hands are cleans, your Blessings are sure
3. If your humility is intact, your Blessings is intact
4. Whatever you get with an unclean hands has no future
5. Whatever you get by lies has no future
6. The pathway of the fear of the Lord is the highway of Blessing in life
7. The fear of the Lord doesn’t only bless the upright, it blesses the generation of the upright
8. It is a Blessing to fear the Lord
9. To fear the Lord is to eat the labour of your hands
10. To fear the lord is to dwell in satisfaction and fulfillment
11. It is well with those who fear the Lord
12. To fear the Lord is to implicate your household for good

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHARACTER AND THE BLESSING:
1. Adam (Gen. 1:28; 3:7-19)
2. Noah (Gen. 6:5-8, 11-18; 9:1-3)
2a. Uprightness of character is an escape route from disaster on earth
2b. Uprightness of character places a seal of distinction on the upright
2c. Uprightness of character attracts the Blessing of God (Ps. 24:5)

3a. To publicize adversity or negativity is to attract curses
3b. To be devoid of love for others is to attract curses
3c. To expose the weakness or nakedness of Spiritual authority attracts negative consequences (Rom. 14:4)

THE OUTCOME OF RUTH:
1. Ruth received the Blessing (Ruth 2:11-12; 3:9-10; 4:17; Matt. 1:1-5)
5a. To live selflessly is to live endlessly (Heb. 11:4)
5b. Faithfulness is doorway to blessedness (Prov. 28:20)
5c. Your passion for God connects you to your portion in life

HOW DOES THE CHARACTER OF UPRIGHTNESS BRING THE BLESSING?
1. Uprightness of character keeps the upright in the Presence of God and the Presence of God is the depot of the Blessing (Ps. 15:1-3; 16:11)
2. Living by Scriptural precepts and principles qualifies and positions the upright for the Blessing (Deut. 28:1-2)
• Others pursue blessings but commandment keepers are blessing commanders
3. The character of uprightness establishes favour for the upright, both before God and man (Ps. 5:12)
KEYS TO THE BLESSING:
1. Uprightness of character (Ps. 5:12)
2. The covenant of tithing (Mal. 3:10)
3. Establishment in your God-ordained place of worship (Ps. 133:1-3)
4. Kingdom service (Ex. 23:25)
5. Existence as a Blessing (Gen. 12:2-3)

1. In this 9th month, you have stepped into the appointed time for your manifestation, the appointed time for the fulfillment of the plan and agenda of God for your life
